Ajax teenager picks Girona over Lille | OneFootball

VI are reporting that Garbiel Misehouy has left Ajax and moved to Spain to sign with Girona. The 18-year-old is able to move to La Liga on a free with his contract in Amsterdam having come to an end this summer. Misehouy, who is eligible to represent both the Netherlands and Ghana at international level, came through the Ajax youth system but never made an appearance for the first team.

The attacking midfielder played for the Jong Ajax side in the Dutch second tier last season. He made 13 appearances for the side, scoring seven goals and grabbing three assists. The young teenager also had the option to sign with Lille in France, but decided on a five-year deal with Girona instead.

Overall, Misehouy made 44 appearances for the Jong Ajax side, scoring 11 goals and grabbing four assists. Girona, as part of the City Group, finished third in La Liga last season and were leading the league at one point during the 2023/2024 campaign.
