Brest beat Lorient 2-0 at Stade Francis-Le Blé to halt the visitors' nine-match unbeaten league run and snap their own three-game winless streak.
Rémy Labeau Lascary broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, drilling low from the left side of the box. Ludovic Ajorque then finished from close range after a fast break (77.) to seal it.
Yvon Mvogo kept Lorient in contention with smart stops, denying Daouda Guindo before the interval and Ajorque after the restart. Gregorie Coudert preserved the clean sheet in second half stoppage time, saving Montassar Talbi's header.
After Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe came on, Brest carried more threat in transition and pinned Lorient deeper, with Ajorque repeatedly stretching the back line.
An early VAR check ruled out a Brest penalty after a handball review in the first half.
Brest registered five shots on target from 11 attempts, making pressure count. Lorient enjoyed 57.8% possession but produced only two efforts on target from 13 attempts.
