Hungarian former Queens Park Rangers and Porto midfielder Akos Buzsaky has been missing for a week, with police searching since 18 August.

"Our last conversation was last week, when he was at home," his father told Blikk, adding that he had not known his son was missing and that Buzsaky spends long periods in Greece working in construction.

The 44-year-old won the 2003 Europa League with Porto and was capped 20 times by Hungary.

Since retiring he has typically trained with Grund FC in Budapest's 17th district.

He no longer lives with the mother of his two children, who is also searching for him and may have raised the alarm.
