Matheus Gonçalves will miss Al-Ahli’s trip to Al-Fayha, though he is neither injured nor suspended.

Al-Yaum reports that head coach Matthias Jaissle has omitted the Brazilian to avoid a booking that could rule him out of the next Roshen League meeting with Al-Nassr.

Al-Ahli visit Al-Majma’ah Sports City Stadium today, Wednesday, for a fixture brought forward from the 29th round.

After Al-Fayha, Al-Ahli begin their AFC Champions League campaign, facing Qatari side Al-Duhail on Monday at Al-Inmaa Stadium in Jeddah in the round of 16.

Once the Asian competitions finish, they return to the Roshen League against Al-Nassr on 28 April in the 30th round.

The clubs are contesting the Saudi Pro League title, with Al-Ahli third on 65 points, five behind leaders Al-Nassr and level with second-placed Al-Hilal, trailing on goal difference.
