Al-Hilal are closing in on the signing of Theo Hernandez from AC Milan after agreeing a €25m deal for the left-back.
Hernandez rejected the chance to join Al-Hilal ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup but has now been persuaded to take up a new challenge in the Saudi Pro League.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Al-Hilal will pay a fee of just €25m (£21.5m) for the France international, whose contract at the San Siro expires in 2026.
It represents another significant coup for the Saudi side, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United linked with Hernandez earlier in the window.
Simone Inzaghi had targeted Hernandez as the ideal option for the left wing-back role. The 27-year-old has been a standout performer in Serie A across recent seasons, being included in the Team of the Season on four occasions.
He has made 262 appearances for Milan across all competitions, scoring 34 goals and providing 45 assists.
Hernandez is set to become the latest big name to leave Milan, following the club’s failure to secure European football. Tijjani Reijnders has already signed for Manchester City in a £51m deal, while Rafael Leao continues to be linked with an exit.
