Al-Hilal confirm Al-Bulaihi exit after nine years as settlement ends defender’s stay | OneFootball

Al-Hilal have ended Al-Bulaihi’s nine-year spell, confirming via their X account in the early hours of Tuesday a contractual settlement that releases the defender with one year remaining on his contract.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, he made 263 appearances in all competitions, scored 23 goals and won 14 trophies with the club.

A website statement, issued by a board chaired by His Highness Prince Nawaf bin Saad, thanked His Royal Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal for covering the value of the settlement and praised his longstanding backing of the club.

Al-Bulaihi joined from Al-Fateh in the summer of 2017 and remained until this summer. He spent the second half of last season on a six-month loan at Al-Shabab.

That loan followed his fall from favour under Italian coach Simone Inzaghi. In recent weeks he was omitted from the Austria training camp and worked away from the group.
