Al Hilal has officially submitted a bid of €70 million to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen from Napoli, according to reports by Fabrizio Romano.
The Saudi Pro League giants are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Osimhen has been identified as a key target to boost their attack, and the two clubs will continue talks.
Al-Hilal’s bid is part of their wider plan to attract top European talent to their team.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is viewed as an ideal fit for their style of play.
The 26-year-old striker enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Turkey, helping Galatasaray secure another league and cup double.
He bagged 37 goals and eight assists in all competitions, showing why he is one of the most sought-after forwards.
Osimhen led the line with energy, intelligence and physical presence, making life difficult for defenders.
He is quick, strong and holds up the ball well. He also links play effectively and makes dangerous runs into space.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also closely monitoring his situation, but Al-Hilal appear to be leading the race.
It is unclear how Napoli will respond to Al-Hilal’s proposal, but Osimhen’s situation will be a major topic of discussion until it is resolved.
