61saat reports that Al-Hilal are exploring a loan for Darwin Nunez to rebuild his value, with negotiations ongoing with Trabzonspor.
Nunez joined Al-Hilal from Liverpool for 53 million euros. He was then frozen out by head coach Simone Inzaghi, a situation compounded by Karim Benzema’s arrival last January.
His market value has slipped from around 35 million euros to nearly 20 million within a year, a 15 million drop. It is described as the largest fall in the Saudi league, ahead of Mateo Retegui and Theo Hernandez.
The plan involves a loan abroad to ease the burden of his high salary and reintroduce him to the European market. Trabzonspor have made an offer and, if he signs, he could play in the Turkish Super League and European cups.
A spell in Türkiye could lift his valuation and allow Al-Hilal either to sell or retain him while recouping losses. The deal has energised supporters and could be concluded in a short time.
