Al-Hilal are looking to make a big statement by considering a massive offer to convince both Newcastle United and Alexander Isak over a summer deal, according to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Public Investment Fund-owned are keen on the Newcastle star, but the Magpies are not ready to let him leave the St James’ Park club anytime soon.

Liverpool were willing to offer around £120 million for Isak, but the Toons insisted he is not for sale this summer.

Al-Hilal would be ready to offer more, but Newcastle are unlikely to be open to doing business with them despite having the same owners with the Saudi Pro League club.

Isak has three years left on his contract, and the Toons are under no pressure to sell from a PSR (profit and sustainability rules) perspective as they are in a comfortable position financially.

Newcastle will be playing in the Champions League next season, and while the Saudis will be ready to offer the Sweden international the big bucks, he is unlikely to be open to leaving Europe this summer following an impressive campaign last term.

The 25-year-old notched 27 goals and six assists in 42 appearances in 2024-25, helping the Magpies win the Carabao Cup, and he will be keen to prove himself in the Champions League next season against some of the best teams in the world.

Newcastle are in the market for another striker, with Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike on their radar, but the Frenchman is not a potential replacement for Isak as manager Eddie Howe wants both of them to play together.

Liverpool also want Ekitike, while Chelsea are also reportedly keen on recruiting his services despite recently pipping the Magpies to Joao Pedro.

Newcastle have signed Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest while Spanish sensation Antonio Cordero has joined them as a free agent, and they are desperate to bolster their squad with more quality additions ahead of the new season.
