Al-Ittihad are reportedly in talks to sign Mohamed Salah with the Egyptian said to be more open to an Anfield exit this summer.

Salah has long had admiration from the Saudi Pro League and has been linked with a move over the last few years. However, that move could at long last come to fruition according to journalist Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato.

The player's representatives are said to be in talks with the club over the future of the 33-year-old who still has one season remaining on his current deal meaning that there will be fewer chances for Liverpool to receive a transfer fee for one of their best players.

Salah is currently in his ninth season at the club and is only now showing signs of slowing down with Arne Slot's side struggling to replicate last season's form.

So far the forward has scored six and assisted six in 25 games for the club in all competitions after last season having amassed a remarkable 34 goals and 23 assists in 52 games.
