Al-Kharitiyath confirm Presnel Kimpembe signing

Al-Kharitiyath have confirmed the signing of Presnel Kimpembe. The club said on Instagram on Sunday that the 2018 World Cup-winning centre-back had signed.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender joins a side in Qatar’s second division, continuing his spell in the emirate that began in September 2025 with Qatar SC.

He made 11 appearances in all competitions last season. That is more than his final two seasons with PSG combined, five in total, when an Achilles tendon injury kept him sidelined.

At Al-Kharitiyath he will line up alongside Kaïs Najeh, a left-back who also came through PSG’s academy.

Kimpembe, 30, left Qatar SC at the end of his contract.
