Ange Postecoglou has been named as head coach of Saudi Pro League champions Al-Nassr.

Postecoglou has been out of management since his eight-match spell in charge of Nottingham Forest, where he failed to win a single game. The 60-year-old won five honours during his time at Scottish side Celtic, before a two-year spell at Tottenham, whom he guided to a first piece of silverware in 17 years after winning the Europa League in 2025.

The Australian replaces Jorge Jesus, with the 71-year-old stepping down as Al-Nassr head coach after guiding the club to their first Saudi Pro League title in seven years.

A statement from the club read: “A new chapter. Mr Ange Postecoglou as coach of the first football team at Al-Nassr club. And that with a contract extending for two seasons.

“Our best wishes for success to him and his staff in their journey with the global club, God willing.”

Postecoglou, who has signed a two-year contract with Riyadh based club, is currently working as a pundit for ITV during the World Cup.
