According to a report by Le Parisien, Al Nassr have begun efforts to sign RB Leipzig’s Mohamed Simakan (24). The Saudi Arabian club have reportedly made contact with their German counterparts.

The Frenchman is considered to be Al Nassr’s priority this summer as they look to bring in the versatile defender to try and take their next steps and finally win the Saudi Pro League after finishing runners-up for the past two seasons.

Simakan had been a target for FC Barcelona but the Catalan club have been warded off in their attempt to sign the defender after Leipzig revealed that they would not accept anything lower than €50 million – a price considered too steep with Barcelona’s current financial situation.
