With the transfer window now in full swing, Manchester United are working on the overhaul of their first-team squad for the upcoming season.

Significant changes are expected at Old Trafford this summer with last season’s eighth place finish well below par for a club of United’s stature.

The FA Cup success played a huge role in Erik ten Hag keeping his job but the raft of injuries suffered last year was also an important factor considered by INEOS.

United were particularly short in defensive areas and an overhaul of the backline is on the cards in the coming weeks.

Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is looking likely to be part of the changes with the Englishman the subject of interest from clubs across the globe.

As reported by Give Me Sport, Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are expected to register their interest in the player once more, after being knocked back in January.

Journalist Ben Jacobs explained the Saudi interest and expects another bid to come in for the 26-year-old.

“Aaron Wan-Bissaka had an offer from Al-Nassr in January, and at that point, Manchester United didn’t want to sell,” he said.

“There is some early interest from West Ham, but the Saudi dealmakers haven’t gone away, and if they can persuade the player to join, they would be happy to make another offer.”

Jacobs feels United’s stance has now softened on a sale and reiterated that if Wan-Bissaka is to leave in the window, Al-Nassr’s name will be in the hat.

“Now it’s a little bit different, and we might see an exit.

“The clubs tend to decide quite late on. But the original Al-Nassr interest is still there, so don’t be surprised if, along with Premier League interest, we get a Saudi offer,” said Jacobs.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are currently front-runners to snap up Wan-Bissaka, but United will be hoping to spark a bidding war considering the interest from multiple sources.
