Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool era is entering its final weeks, and a Saudi Pro League switch is increasingly on the table, with Al-Nassr emerging as a leading contender to create a potential partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to TEAMTalk, Al-Nassr have firmly positioned themselves in the chase for the Egyptian, though questions remain over how he would dovetail with Ronaldo and whether the Portuguese forward would cede some spotlight.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund is keen to bring Salah to the league, viewing him as a marquee figure who extends beyond football. With Al-Nassr backed by significant resources, uniting two modern greats remains a live possibility.

Al-Nassr face competition, with four other Saudi sides monitoring developments. Long-term suitors Al-Ittihad are considered a major threat after a previous world-record bid was rejected, while Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal and ambitious Al-Qadsiah, managed by Brendan Rodgers, are also in the frame.

At Anfield, planning has begun for life after Salah. Head coach Arne Slot has acknowledged the challenge of replacing such output and indicated the recruitment team must decide whether to seek a like-for-like right-sided forward or pivot to a different profile.

Salah has delivered 256 goals and eight major honours for Liverpool across nine seasons, including the Premier League and Champions League. As the run-in unfolds, he will aim to secure a Champions League return before any potential move to Riyadh.
