Al Nassr 'to negotiate' Samu Costa deal after Benfica links | OneFootball

Samu Costa is moving closer to joining Al Nassr, having given the green light to a switch. A deal now depends on an agreement with Mallorca.

According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the clubs are already under way and described as intense, with Al Nassr seeking a replacement for Marcelo Brozovic. The report adds that Costa has rejected an offer from Leipzig.

The Saudi club arrive in Portugal this Sunday for a pre-season camp running until five August. Jorge Jesus’s side will play Benfica B, AD Mérida, Estrela da Amadora and Almería.

Costa had been linked with Benfica in recent weeks as Marco Silva looks to bolster his midfield. The move proved difficult due to Mallorca’s demands, with the Spanish club only open to talks at around 25 million euros.

Martín Demichelis had also identified the midfielder as a target for a German squad. Even so, all indications point to Al Nassr securing Costa, adding to a Portuguese contingent that already includes Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix.
