Alajbegovic price tag boosted by Chelsea interest, now at €35m

Bayer Leverkusen were already reportedly bumping up the price for Kerim Alajbegovic to €35m, and now Chelsea are in the running, it’s bad news for Atalanta, Milan, Roma and Fiorentina.

The impressive Bosnia and Herzegovina international has caught the eye of numerous clubs thanks to his performances both for his country getting to the World Cup, and at RB Salzburg last season.
He turns 19 in September and contributed 13 goals with four assists in 44 games for RB Salzburg last season.

It was assumed he could be signed for approximately €30m, but now it’s reported that price tag is rising thanks to the number of clubs interested.
That is set to receive another boost with reports that Chelsea are getting involved too, even if these are early stages in the negotiations.
Atalanta had seemed to be the most advanced, but their bid reached €30m including add-ons.
Milan, Roma and Fiorentina are all keeping a close eye on the situation within Serie A.
He has previously been linked with Juventus, Napoli and Newcastle United too, but they seem to have other priorities right now.
