Kerim Alajbegovic, Salzburg’s young star and key player in Bosnia’s victory over Wales, is enjoying a magical moment both on the pitch and in the transfer market.
Born in 2007, he scored the decisive penalty against Wales that sent Bosnia to the World Cup playoff final against Italy.
He has attracted considerable interest from European clubs, including Roma and AC Milan.
An important development has added further heat to his name on the market.
Bayer Leverkusen has officially exercised its buy-back option on the player, bringing him back to Germany.
The clause had been agreed upon when he was sold to Salzburg last summer for €2 million.
The German club will pay Salzburg €8 million for the young attacking winger.
As previously mentioned, Roma are also interested in the player.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi will be called upon to overhaul their attack this summer.
Dybala, Pellegrini, and El Shaarawy will leave on free transfers, while Malen will be signed on a permanent basis.
