LD Alajuelense hosts Comunicaciones FC at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The Costa Rican side leads on aggregate after winning 2-1 in the first leg.

The home side continues its title-defending campaign, boasting an undefeated record in 15 matches with 12 wins and three draws. Alajuelense has also claimed victories in its five matches and is the highest-scoring team with 13 goals.

Alajuelense was led to a 2-1 comeback win in the first leg with goals from Diego Campos, who is the tournament’s leading scorer with six goals, and Alberto Toril. Celso Borges reached 15 appearances and 12 wins in the CCAC, becoming the player with the most games played and most victories in the tournament’s history.

Comunicaciones will aim to turn the series around and advance to the semifinals to improve on its quarterfinal participation in the 2023 CCAC. Carlos Mejia struck for the Cremas in the second minute of the previous match for the fastest goal scored in the CCAC.

If the score is tied on aggregate, away goals will decide the winner. If the match results in a 2-1 win for Comunicaciones, extra time will be played with the away goals rule no longer in effect after regulation. If a winner is not determined through extra time, a penalty shootout will decide the series.
