Tottenham Hotspur have yet to speak with Mauricio Pochettino over appointing him as their next permanent manager, according to talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club reportedly were open to appointing a temporary boss until someone like Pochettino is available in the summer.
Spurs have since given Igor Tudor the job until the end of the season, but the North London club are not in contact with the Argentine, claims Brazil.
Pochettino will be available to return to club football after the World Cup in June, but it appears Tottenham want to wait until the end of the season before making any decision.
They are not guaranteed safety right now and will need to hold on to their Premier League status to have a chance of bringing their former manager back.
The Lilywhites are 16th in the league table ahead of the remaining 11 games of the campaign, and failure to quickly turn their fortunes on the pitch around could be hugely disastrous.
Tudor wants the permanent job but he needs to keep Spurs up to boost his chances.
Pochettino remains a target for Tottenham despite not holding talks with him yet, but there are no guarantees he has what it takes to turn them into domestic heavyweights again given various underlying problems at the club.
Spurs could do with new owners going forward if they really want to start competing with the bigwigs in the Premier League again.
Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank could not find answers to problems which started to unravel towards the end of Pochettino’s first reign, and Tudor could also end up struggling despite his best efforts.
