According to Sitiboca.com.ar, Alan Lescano’s proposed move to Boca Juniors has stalled, with Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and Argentinos Juniors at odds over the deal.

Boca have an agreement with the midfielder, though talks between the clubs have paused over finances.

Gimnasia value their share of the player at around three million dollars, and no common ground has been found with Argentinos on the transfer conditions. The impasse leaves Boca short on time.

The deadline to register reinforcements is 10 March, when the window closes following Lucas Blondel’s departure to Huracán. Boca need to complete the move before that date to finish the squad and avoid losing one of their main midfield options.

Lescano’s representative, Andrés Guglielminpietro, is working to bring the parties together and unlock talks. Boca regard adding a creative midfielder suited to the coach’s plan as a priority, though time pressure is growing.

Argentinos Juniors president Cristian Malaspina has underlined the difficulty of letting Lescano go, noting that a sale would not guarantee a like-for-like replacement. Boca remain alert to developments, aware that each passing hour could further complicate their hopes of signing the midfielder.
