Everton secured a 2-0 victory over Fulham at Hill Dickinson Stadium today, with goals from Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane handing the Toffees their fourth Premier League win of 2025-26.
Everton have only lost once at their new home this season, winning four times and drawing twice across all competitions.
The Toffees manager David Moyes will hope his men can continue to make Hill Dickinson a fortress, but former Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers is not pleased with how tricky it is for fans to navigate leaving the ground after games.
The veteran journalist and former Everton head of media and director of communications was at the game this evening, and he took to his X account to express his displeasure.
Building such an architectural masterpiece on the Bramley-Moore Dock has been commended, but Everton did not get everything right, especially the exit routes.
Fans have complained about crossing the bridge situated on one of the roads leading up to Bramley-Moore Dock.
The Everton supporters have had difficulty leaving the stadium because the bridge, which is a five-minute walk away from the stadium and not on club property, cannot handle a certain amount of weight at a given time.
The club spent four years constructing the new ground and should have done better with how fans get to the venue and depart as several complaints about the limited travel options have also emerged.
Everton need to find a way to quickly sort things out as they cannot afford to keep inconveniencing the fans attending their games.
The Toffees return to action after the international break with a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on November 24.
They host Newcastle United five days later, and while Moyes will be concerned about picking up all six points from both games, the fans will be dreading the nightmare of navigating their exits from the ground.
