Albert Gudmundsson’s future still uncertain despite impressive Fiorentina form

Serie A side Fiorentina have seen Albert Gudmundsson impress in the last few weeks and while the Iceland international is on loan from Genoa and there is an option to buy, his future remains open.
According to sources, La Viola are quite happy with the performances of the versatile attacker, especially after his goals against Napoli and Juventus in the Serie A. In all competitions, the 27-year-old has eight goals for Raffaele Palladino’s side.
Even though Fiorentina have paid an initial loan fee of €6m to Genoa, they have an option to buy in the deal and they will have to pay €17m and bonuses of €3.5m to sign him permanently. While they are pleased with the player, there is now increasing interest from other major teams in Italy.
Get Italian Football News understand that Inter are interested and they were quite keen on bringing him to the San Siro last summer. As a result, Gudmundsson’s future remains uncertain and things could develop, as months go by.
