Alberto Costa suspended for FC Porto v Moreirense clash

Alberto Costa was the only FC Porto player who entered the classic match at risk of suspension. With four yellow cards, the full-back knew he would serve a one-match ban if he received another booking—which happened in the 78th minute for stopping Schjelderup. Thus, Alberto will be a confirmed absence for Francesco Farioli in the upcoming home game against Moreirense (March 15, at 8:30 p.m.). Also booked in Sunday’s match, William Gomes, Gabri Veiga, and Martim Fernandes are now at risk of suspension.

It is also worth noting that Lucho González, Farioli’s assistant, and Henrique Monteiro, executive manager of professional football and the Dragons’ delegate for the match, were both sent off by João Pinheiro.
