Antxón Muneta will have only one centre-forward for Sunday’s game at the Municipal de Anduva, with Alberto Marí the sole option up front.
According to AS, Mirandés and Rayo Vallecano confirmed this morning that Etienne Eto’o’s loan has ended and he will join Villarreal B in Group two of Primera Federación. The Cameroonian had not trained with the team since Tuesday and departs after 103 league minutes across six substitute outings.
Another striker, Gonzalo Petit, will also leave in the coming hours. Betis will terminate his loan so he can gain more minutes in the second tier. He will join Granada, who will pay €220,000 to Mirandés to cancel the loan agreement.
Petit signs off with four goals in 774 minutes, plus one against Atlético Astorga in the first round of the Copa del Rey.
With Carlos Fernández, the team’s top scorer on eight, suspended for accumulated bookings, Muneta has only Marí as a natural striker for Andorra’s visit.
With three days remaining, it remains to be seen whether the sporting department led by Alfredo Merino can add a striker in time.
