Albion to check on Pascal Struijk after hamstring scare | OneFootball

Albion will assess Pascal Struijk after he came off late in the win over Arsenal with a hamstring concern on his first Premier League start.

According to TheArgus.co.uk, the former Leeds centre-back took a blow to the head contesting a corner with goalkeeper David Raya, returned after treatment, then was booked after sprinting back to defend.

As Albion closed in on their third Premier League clean sheet of the season, and fifth in total, he pulled up holding the back of his thigh and was replaced by Michael Svoboda.

Head coach Fabian Hurzeler thought the centre-back had felt something in his hamstring, hoped it was not serious, and that they would have to see how he represents.

Struijk started after Lewis Dunk sustained a minor neck issue in training on Friday. Albion expect some injured players to return when they visit Sunderland on October 10 for their next competitive fixture.
