Alderete To Start, O’Nien On The Bench | 4-2-3-1 Sunderland Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham | OneFootball

Sunderland will welcome Fulham at the Stadium of Light this Sunday afternoon as they hope to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Black Cats suffered a tough 2-1 loss at the hands of Ipswich Town last weekend, so they would be eager to bounce back by securing a win versus the Cottagers this weekend.

Regis Le Bris will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Omar Alderete could get a chance to impress from the start of this game, while Luke O’Nien makes way for him and drops to the bench.

4-2-3-1 Sunderland Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham

Defence

Robin Roefs will play in goal for the Black Cats after conceding two goals in his last league outing. Dan Ballard will function alongside Omar Alderete at the heart of the Sunderland backline as they hope to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Thomas Meunier will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Reinildo Mandava hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the Fulham half.

Luke O’Nien will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Noah Sadiki and Granit Xhaka will operate as the holding midfielders for the Wearside club. Their main focus would be to make life difficult for the visitors in the middle of the park and engineer some decent opportunities for their teammates to score.

The gifted trio of Nilson Angulo, Enzo Le Fee and Trai Hume will play just ahead of them as part of Le Bris’ attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Black Cats are to earn all three points at the Stadium of Light this weekend.

Chris Rigg and Chemsdine Talbi will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Brian Brobbey will lead the line for Sunderland up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after failing to do so against Ipswich last weekend.

Wilson Isidor will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
