Despite huge interest from Liga MX giants Chivas and América, midfielder Aldo Rocha has agreed to remain at Mazatlán FC.
Rocha has been Mazatlán (formerly Monarcas Morelia) captain and club managing director, Mauricio Lanz, confirmed the transaction on Tuesday.
“We have already renegotiated a new one with him because we believe he deserves it and has earned it,” he told ESPN.
“We have signed him for four years. We agreed and we are just in the process of signing and the last specific details, but we have already arranged it.”
The 27-year-old, who has also played for León, was called up to the Mexico national team for the very first time prior to the coronavirus pandemic putting football on hold.
