Alessandro Circati has arrived in Lisbon ahead of completing a move to Benfica after an 18 million euro agreement with Parma, adding to Marco Silva's defensive options.

The Australia international landed at Humberto Delgado Airport at 10:03 on Wednesday after flying from Milan, with the flight initially bound for Tires Aerodrome before diverting to Lisbon, according to Glorioso 1904.

A graduate of Perth Glory before joining Parma's academy, he made 96 senior appearances for the Italian club, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He featured in four matches at the recent World Cup.
