Alessandro Circati could be a surprise inclusion in Marco Silva’s Benfica XI to face Milan at San Siro, despite logging only 36 minutes since arriving at Luz.

A Bola reports that 29 of those minutes were at right-back against Marítimo, when he came on after the interval to add defensive security following Bah’s withdrawal, with Kaminski replacing him in the 16th minute.

Bah had trained fully with the group in Portugal about a week and a half after a right shoulder trauma sustained against Marítimo. He did not travel to Milan, a technical decision that also factors in Sunday’s clássico with FC Porto.

Daniel Banjaqui is the only specialist right-back in the travelling party and started the last two matches, against Moreirense and Gil Vicente. Despite those encouraging outings, Silva may opt for a more conservative approach in Milan.

Tomás Araújo is another option for the right flank. The Portugal international has covered there on several occasions, including in the second half of 2024/25 after a Bah injury.

Changes may not stop at right-back. With 12 games already played this season and Porto four days away, Silva could manage minutes for some regulars. Prestianni, for instance, finished the Gil Vicente fixture visibly fatigued.
