Alex Gomes Stefano to referee Internacional v Santos in Brasileirão | OneFootball

Alex Gomes Stefano, 38, from Rio de Janeiro and an AB-Pro referee, will take charge of Internacional v Santos on Sunday at 16:00 at Beira-Rio, the 26th round of the Brasileirão. Assistants are Luiz Claudio Regazone and Thayse Marques Fonseca, also from Rio.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the VAR will be led by Wagner Reway from Santa Catarina, with Frederico Soares Vilarinho as AVAR and Eduardo Tomaz de Aquino Valadao as AVAR2. Felipe da Silva Goncalves Paludo is the fourth official and Anderson Carlos Goncalves is the assessor. Claudio Jose de Oliveira Soares serves as VAR observer and Larissa Ramos Monteiro as quality manager.

Earlier this year, Stefano oversaw Santos 2-0 Red Bull Bragantino at Vila Belmiro in the league.

Last year he refereed Santos 2-2 Bahia at Vila Belmiro. Two years ago, he handled two Santos fixtures in Série B, a 1-0 defeat to Operário-PR at Germano Kruger and a 1-1 draw with Novorizontino at Vila Belmiro.

In 2023 he worked as fourth official in two top-flight Santos matches, a 1-0 win at Vasco in São Januário and a 1-0 loss to Fluminense at the Maracanã. He also performed the same role in the 0-0 draw between Sereinhas da Vila and Flamengo at CT Nova Iguaçu in the Brasileirão Feminino Sub-16.
