Alex Sandro will miss Flamengo’s next Brasileirão match after a late booking in the 2-2 draw with Vasco on Sunday (14). The left-back was cautioned for a foul on Adson in the 40th minute of the second half.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he had been on two yellows and must now serve a one-game suspension against Grêmio, Flamengo’s next league opponents.

In Alex Sandro’s absence, Leonardo Jardim is expected to start Ayrton Lucas at left-back against Grêmio. Matías Viña, third-choice in the position, is on loan at River Plate (ARG) until the end of 2026.

Flamengo went ahead after eight minutes through Pedro. In the second half, Jorginho extended the lead from the penalty spot, before Robert Renan and Hugo Moura brought Vasco level.

After the draw, Flamengo switch focus to the Libertadores. On Thursday (07), they face Independiente Medellín (COL) at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio Atanasio Girardot in the fourth round.
