Alexander Bah: Benfica ‘to sell’ right-back this summer

Alexander Bah has returned to action for Benfica and could be placed in the shop window ahead of the summer.

Record reports that Rui Costa’s board plan to sell the right-back in the next window, while giving him minutes in the meantime to lift his price and attract interest.

Since arriving in 2022/23, the Denmark international has had 10 separate spells in the club’s medical department.

Selling Bah would also create space for Daniel Banjaqui, a 17-year-old right-back wearing No 58, to earn opportunities.

After recovering from a knee injury, Bah has made two Liga Portugal Betclic appearances this season, totalling 80 minutes and scoring one goal.

He is valued at €9 million.
