Alexandre Golovine put AS Monaco ahead against Olympique de Marseille with a smart second-half finish in the final fixture of Ligue 1 matchweek 28 on Sunday night.
L'Équipe notes the Russian is among Monaco's in-form players, and he delivered again.
With the game goalless near the hour, Maghnes Akliouche worked the opening on the left and, with a touch of fortune, found Jordan Teze.
The Dutch right-back sent in a pinpoint cross that Golovine met with a first-time left-foot finish, the ball looping over and surprising Geronimo Rulli in the 59th minute.
It was Golovine’s third goal in his last four matches and it lifted Monaco into the Ligue 1 top five, provisionally.
