Alexis Guérin meets Villas-Boas at Dragão and receives FC Porto shirt | OneFootball

Volta a Portugal winner Alexis Guérin, an FC Porto fan, attended Sunday’s match against Arouca at Estádio do Dragão after being invited by the club.

According to O Jogo, the Frenchman said he now had one last dream, to take the ceremonial kick-off at a Porto match, adding he did not know if it was possible and hoped the club would understand.

He did not take the kick-off, but met club president André Villas-Boas and was presented with an FC Porto shirt.

Rúben Pereira, sporting director of Anicolor-Campicarn, accompanied the 34-year-old.

Guérin has supported Porto since 2004, when he followed José Mourinho’s side on their run to the Champions League title.

The FC Porto-Arouca fixture, in the third round of the I Liga, finished 2-0 to Porto.
