This will be the fifth Santos match he has overseen. His first was a 0-0 draw with Real Garcilaso at Vila Belmiro in the 2018 Libertadores group stage.

In 2021 he refereed the 1-0 defeat at Estádio Defensores del Chaco to Libertad in the Sudamericana quarter-final second leg, which confirmed Santos’ elimination.

He later handled the 1-0 loss to Newell’s Old Boys at the Marcelo Bielsa stadium in the 2023 Copa Sudamericana.

This year he took charge of the 2-2 draw with San Lorenzo at Vila Belmiro in the competition’s first phase.
