Algeria national team: Kebbal wants playing time and is no longer hiding!
Algeria national team: Ilan Kebbal ready to do whatever it takes to play!
Once again called up by Vladimir Petkovic, Ilan Kebbal is holding tight to his dream of playing for the national team. Having already been part of the squad in September without logging a single minute, the Paris FC playmaker has been selected for a second consecutive camp. Fresh off winning the Ligue 1 McDonald’s Player of the Month award for August, the 27-year-old attacking midfielder is at a pivotal moment in his career and now hopes to turn these call-ups into actual playing time. Asked what he thinks he’s missing to make that next step, Kebbal responded candidly:
"It’s already an honor just to be called up. I don’t think I’m missing anything to play. I’m 27, not 20 anymore—if I’m not ready now, I’ll never be ready."
A clear-eyed statement that reflects his determination to make his mark with the Greens. Moreover, he says he’s ready to step out of his comfort zone:
"If the team needs me, even if it means playing as a defender, I’ll be there."
A way to show his total commitment and impeccable attitude.
