Algeria receives good news

Algeria can breathe a sigh of relief as its stars gradually return to action. Several Algerian internationals have been sidelined by injuries in recent weeks. Among them, the trio of Ibrahim Maza, Rafik Belghali, and Nabil Bentaleb are back in training.
Bayer Leverkusen posted a photo on its X account to announce Ibrahim Maza’s return to training. The Algerian international (13 caps, 2 goals) missed his team’s last three matches due to a knee issue.
He was absent against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-3) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (1-1) in the league, as well as St. Pauli (3-0) in the German Cup, but the 20-year-old winger could make his return this Saturday when Leverkusen hosts St. Pauli in Bundesliga Matchday 22.
Meanwhile, Nabil Bentaleb took part in LOSC’s training session on Tuesday. The midfielder had not played since January 22 following an injury against Celta Vigo in the Europa League.
Finally, Rafik Belghali participated in part of the group training this Tuesday at the Paradiso Sports Center and could be called up for the first time since returning from AFCON 2025, when his side faces Parma on Sunday as part of Serie A Matchday 25.
These comebacks are sure to delight Vladimir Petkovic, who hopes to have his best assets ready for the 2026 World Cup, while waiting for other injured players to return, notably Paris FC defender Samir Chergui.
