Ali Zarrak 'to lead' OM scouting in Île-de-France after Paris move | OneFootball

Ali Zarrak is set to move to Île-de-France in September to head OM scouting, although the club has yet to formalise the change.

According to La Provence, the Benatia ally is to relocate to the Paris region to lead scouting in Île-de-France and the north of France. He is expected to return to Marseille at intervals to run Pro 2 development matches in a role still to be defined.

The former Pro 2 head is currently in Tignes with the youth squad until Friday, a final assignment before his switch. He will work autonomously but remain within the recruitment unit alongside Yannick Lorenzi, brother of Grégory, the new sporting director, plus Thierry Bonalair and Emmanuel Pascal.

He has already handled several dossiers, including the signing of Robinio Vaz from Sochaux, and more recently Nouhoum Kamissoko’s contract extension and the expected renewal of Alexi Koum. OM have also rejected offers from abroad for the full-back, as well as an approach from Annecy in Ligue 2.

Separately, Bob Tahri remains OM sporting co-ordinator while an internal investigation into alleged moral harassment continues. He was in the Marseille delegation in Côte d’Ivoire two weeks ago, but is now less present with the squad and has moved to an office in the administrative building.
