Alice Sombath completes Tottenham move from OL Lyonnes | OneFootball

Alice Sombath has left OL Lyonnes for Tottenham, the 22-year-old centre-back ending six seasons in Lyon with a permanent move.

According to Le Progres, OL Lyonnes announced the transfer on Tuesday morning. Sombath joined the academy at 16 from PSG and extended her deal to 2027 in January.

An international with 16 caps, she played 106 games for OLL across all competitions and departs with a major haul, including the 2022 Women’s Champions League, five Arkema Première Ligue titles from 2022 to 2026, two Coupes de France in 2023 and 2026, two Trophées des Championnes in 2022 and 2023, and the 2026 Coupe LFFP.

In a farewell message on social media, Sombath said it was time to turn the page, calling Lyon her second home and thanking a club she described as a family where she grew and shared unforgettable moments.

She added that she wants to give her best at Tottenham, noting the league’s intensity and how every match is difficult, which is what excites her most.

The fee and contract length were not disclosed, and the move was described as a club-record transfer. Her exit follows recent departures of Kadidiatou Diani to London City Lionesses, Kysha Sylla to Juventus and Sofie Svava to Como 1907.
