Alisson Becker’s reflection on his Liverpool journey is laced with clarity and conviction. “I have achieved some personal merits in my career, but I believe my greatest merit was choosing to go to #LFC.” That line, delivered with calm authority, reveals not just a loyalty to the club, but an understanding of the pivotal decisions that define a career.

“It was a very professional choice, to go to a stable club, a very well-organized club, with a great coach in Klopp,” Alisson continued. “And I think that was also part of why this is working out for me individually, in my career.” The Brazilian’s move to Anfield was never simply about silverware, but about structure, culture and ambition. Under Klopp’s guidance, and now with Arne Slot in charge, Liverpool remains an institution that nurtures elite standards.
With his contract situation now under the spotlight, Alisson laid out the scenario candidly. “I have one year of contract left and one more year on a club option. They will probably exercise this option.” Aware of what lies ahead, he added, “I think about what I have in hand, to do a great job. It’s a decisive moment in my career, when a World Cup is coming.”
For Liverpool, Alisson is more than just a world-class goalkeeper. He is an anchor in transition, a leader in the dressing room and an ambassador of the club’s resilience. With Brazil and club honours in mind, his next chapter is set to be just as significant.
