Football League World has ranked all 24 EFL League One based on their historic achievements
League One plays host to an array of teams this season, who have all experienced differing levels of success in their past.
Some have competed at the highest level and won major honours, whilst others can still only dream of achieving similar feats.
With this in mind, Football League World has ranked all 24 League One clubs based on how successful they’ve been historically.

AFC Wimbledon fall into last place by default, having been founded in 2002 due to MK Dons rebranding themselves.
The original Dons would’ve ranked much higher up this list, but their lack of history in their new form unfortunately limits that.

Exeter City haven’t managed to achieve much compared to a lot of teams on this list, which is why they are so low down on this list.
A number of promotions from the fourth-tier is as good as it gets, which can be said for most other League One teams.

Wycombe Wanderers have experienced an extensive amount of EFL football, but don’t have much to show for it.
Besides their League One play-off triumph in 2020, a handful of third-placed finishes in the fourth-tier are all they have to show.

Stevenage are yet to win League One or League Two in their full form, which limits how high they can finish.
Most of their success has come in the EFL Trophy, which while credible, isn’t comparable to some of the other League One teams’ achievements.

Lincoln City have clinched a number of third-tier titles during their history, as well as the 2018 EFL Trophy.
Whilst not comparable to the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Huddersfield Town, it is still more than some other teams on the list.

Whilst nothing to compete with Huddersfield or Blackpool, Burton Albion have enjoyed moderate success during their history.
Promotions from League One and Two are impressive for a club of their stature, keeping them out of the relegation zone on this list.

Mansfield Town have one third-tier title to their name, alongside a hefty number of promotions from the fourth-tier.
Whilst the Stags would no doubt like to have more success, it hands them a solid position on this list.

Much like Plymouth, Doncaster Rovers have been fortunate enough to come out on top in both the third and fourth tiers.
However, not managing to progress past that stage and clinch anything higher hands them this place on the list.

Port Vale haven’t been able to express themselves in the higher divisions of English football but have enjoyed some success over the years.
Promotions from both League One and League Two have been enjoyed on occasion, alongside two Football League trophies.

Stockport County have got a couple of titles to their name, and have competed at a decent EFL level during their history.
