After more than half a season, Roma returned to a draw, doing so against Allegri’s AC Milan.
It was a high-stakes match at the Olimpico, largely controlled by Gasperini’s men.
In the second half, however, the visitors found the lead thanks to De Winter. The Giallorossi responded immediately, equalizing through Pellegrini, bringing down the Milanello club’s defensive structure.
After the match, Massimiliano Allegri spoke to DAZN about his team’s performance: “We played well in the first seven or eight minutes, having three or four situations where we could have done better.”
“Then we made a few mistakes coming out of the box, and Roma were very good at attacking through balls and on second balls where they got to us before us. Maignan was good; he kept us on our feet.”
“The second half was different; we improved our technical side, and they dropped off a bit. Once we took the lead, the game seemed well-positioned, but then there was an incident that can happen.”
“A 1-1 draw in Rome right now is very important: we gained a point on Napoli, and we kept Roma within four points of the head-to-head. It’s very important for our final objective.”
