According to Football Italia, Max Allegri says Napoli’s trip to Fiorentina ranks among the four or five most important of their season, while offering injury updates and urging Noa Lang to show the right spirit.

The game is at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday, 11.30 UK time, 12.30 CEST. Napoli have stuttered, losing three in a row to Como, Inter and Arsenal before beating Bologna.

Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa is in the squad but not fit to start. Scott McTominay, Alex Meret, Alisson Santos, Giovane, Alessandro Buongiorno and Luca Marianucci are out. Leonardo Spinazzola has a femoral bicep problem and will return after the international break.

Allegri said Anguissa trained with the group today after working separately all week. Kevin De Bruyne is doing well and could start. He feels fitness levels are improving and wants to finish this mini run strongly before hopefully welcoming players back to full fitness.

David Neres has returned with recent cameos and is fully recovered, though probably not ready to start. Allegri said McTominay and Meret will be back after the break, and he thinks Marianucci could be too. He praised Fiorentina’s win over Venezia and noted Florence is a difficult venue.

Lang, dropped for disciplinary reasons against Arsenal in the Champions League, has yet to reclaim a starting spot. Allegri said he could play but will assess options, stressing the need for spirit and enthusiasm through a long season when the same 13-14 cannot feature every game.
