Allianz Parque is in a race to complete its new synthetic pitch for Wednesday's Paulista final first leg, when Palmeiras are due to be the home side. According to Globo.com, despite a taskforce by contractor Soccer Grass, Palmeiras still consider a return in time difficult.

The technical council meeting for the final is set for 12:00 on Monday at FPF headquarters.

At the stadium, crews are working in shifts, including overnight, to speed up installation. The Shock Pad, the field's cushioning layer, and the synthetic turf are fully installed, mostly completed between Tuesday and Thursday last week.

Since then, sand for the infill has been laid, and the cork application is about 33% complete. Levelling, line painting and installing the goalposts will follow.

Palmeiras have staged all Paulista games in Barueri during the refurbishment, replacing the synthetic surface since the end of last year after the club raised concerns about the turf's regeneration.

In previous years Palmeiras played the return leg at home. In 2026, however, Novorizontino, the other finalists, recorded a better campaign than the Alviverde.
