Ally McCoist & Kris Boyd DEMAND Rangers fire Russell Martin | OneFootball

Ally McCoist and Kris Boyd have confirmed Russell Martin must leave. Last night’s latest dismal showing at Ibrox was Martin’s latest abysmal display of non-management and out-of-his-depth theory, if that’s even a word. And now two leading ex-Rangers strikers and well-respected legends of the club have officially had enough.

We do of course note that both Ally and Kris backed Martin as a good appointment when it was originally made. While Ally hasn’t quite admitted he got it wrong, or perhaps he has and we haven’t seen it, Kris certainly did hold his hands up. And now both admit 100% that Russell Martin has to go.

Kris adds, of course, what Ibrox Noise has been saying recently, that it is not just Martin that is the problem. We have also called into account the board and the owners, who are also a complete shambles. However, the buck for pure football on the pitch rests with Martin, and it would be safe to say the former Southampton manager is completely out of his depth.

His departure up the tunnel at full time said it all. Admittedly, the disparaging chants had begun against him, but nevertheless it is abundantly clear he is beyond damaged goods. Martin must go, and now Ally and Kris, leading figures in the Rangers community, are right in that camp as well.
