Ally McCoist reveals one thing he likes about Gyokeres

Ally McCoist’s Praise

Ally McCoist, who has long advocated the need for Arsenal to sign a natural striker, has expressed his satisfaction at seeing the club recruit Gyokeres. Speaking on TNT, he said: “There’s nobody [who has] complained about Arsenal not having an out-and-out centre forward more than me. We saw him against City in Lisbon, he played really, really well.

“What I liked about him, he probably missed two or three chances early on, and kept going and kept going.

“I don’t think missing, which is vitally important for a centre forward, I don’t think missing bothers him that much.”

This resilience, as McCoist points out, is a vital quality for a striker in the Premier League, where opportunities come quickly and pressure is constant.
