Alvarez hope fades for Arsenal as Chelsea’s Camara deal collapses in record-breaking window | OneFootball

A record-breaking summer window closed last night, headlined by Enzo Fernandez’s £125m move to Manchester City and a string of late collapses.

According to The Standard, Chelsea agreed a fee for Lamine Camara to replace Fernandez, only for Monaco to pull the plug, while Folarin Balogun’s switch to Everton also fell through.

Arsenal ended Deadline Day without an arrival, their Julian Alvarez pursuit never materialised after being offered Malick Fofana, who instead joined Sunderland. Gabriel Martinelli’s proposed move to Saudi Arabia remains unconfirmed.

Tottenham lost Iliman Ndiaye to City but brought in Chelsea duo Mykhailo Mudryk, on loan, and Tosin Adarabioyo for £12m. Liverpool wrapped up Bradley Barcola for £123m the previous day and considered their business complete.

Fulham recruited Manuel Angel from Real Madrid and Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt. Angel signed a deal to June 2029 with an option for a further year.

Leeds sent Wilfried Gnonto to Fiorentina on a season-long loan and signed defender Melvin Bard from Nice. Gnonto joined Leeds on deadline day four years ago and made 147 appearances, scoring 23 goals.

Hull made six Deadline Day additions, landing Tim Iroegbunam, Ilyas Ansah, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Sorba Thomas and Christos Mouzakitis for undisclosed fees, plus Robinio Vaz on loan. Iroegbunam, Ansah, Norton-Cuffy and Mouzakitis agreed five-year contracts.

Fernandez revealed he had not been in a good place after confirming the transfer, which was announced following a Deadline Day breakthrough.
