Álvaro, a nine-year-old from Ferrol with a visual impairment, returned to Anoeta and was again viewed as a lucky charm as Real Sociedad beat Athletic in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg to reach the final. According to Diario Vasco, the club invited him back after his first visit in January.

The club had shared his story after the 18 January game against Barcelona at Anoeta, which finished 2-1 to Real. That night was a Three Kings gift arranged by his parents and Real Sociedad Fundazioa.

He watched pitchside with his father using Escoita, an audio description system that lets visually impaired supporters follow play in detail without delay. The service is currently only available at Anoeta.

Álvaro also met Txurdin, Jokin Aperribay and first-team players, and goalkeeper Álex Remiro gave him his gloves. Those memories now sit alongside seeing Real clinch their place in the final from the stands.

For the semi-final he sat with his mother and enjoyed another memorable night in Donostia. Players now consider he could be a talisman, and a family video showed Álvaro Odriozola, on crutches after knee surgery, inviting the boy to attend the Seville final. The youngster accepted after first asking him to speak to his mother, and Odriozola said he would sort it.
