British business executive Amanda Staveley was at West Ham United’s home ground – London Stadium – on Friday, according to the Sun.
West Ham could have new co-owners soon after David Sullivan stepped down, and Staveley has revealed she is open to investing in the club.
The PCP Capital Partners director was at London Stadium last night alongside her husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi.
They sat in the directors’ box to watch the Take That – Circus Tour as guests of the venue, a separate entity from West Ham.
The Hammers are the current tenants of the multi-purpose stadium, and it is unknown if Staveley was in attendance for the first time.
“Maybe, you don’t know,” she told Spear’s Magazine earlier this month when asked if she was looking into investing in West Ham.
“We have looked at a lot of clubs, including Tottenham, but we are looking at clubs around the Premier League and the UK, Europe.
“We really want to be buying, going in and investing in a club again very soon.
“Both my husband and I were attracted to building a business where we can take a brand that isn’t doing so well, a club that isn’t performing well, get it on the right road, and bring that forward.
“There are very few clubs where that can work. If you want to tick every box, there are actually very few clubs that allow that.”
Sullivan may be forced to sell his 38.8 percent stake after the independent football regulator confirmed an investigation into his position following recent allegations.
Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky is set to become West Ham’s largest shareholder after buying 16% of the Gold family’s stake.
He will control 43% of the club, which could rise further as he eyes a share issue and cash injection.
Staveley will be monitoring the situation, and West Ham could do with such an experienced figure on board.
